Team Phil trounced Team James, 5-1, in the Clear Dream Match held last August 25 at the University of Makati Football Field. Phil Younghusband lifted his team to victory as he scored a hattrick.
Phil scored his three goals in the 18th, 22nd and 94th minute. Adding goals for his team are Pachanga player Ossenyou Diop and Kaya player Yannick Tuason in the 42nd and 71st minutes respectively. Loyola Meralco Sparks teammate Davide Cortina provided the assist in Phil's first goal. Phil's second goal came almost from the left center part of the pitch. Meanwhile, Team James captain James Younghusband was able to give his team a consolation goal in the 62nd minute.
Team Phil was composed of Kaya's Tuason, Saba Garmaroudi and Armand del Rosario; Pachanga's Diop and Janrick Soriano; fellow Loyola Meralco Sparks teammates Cortina, Roxy Dorlas, who was never subbed out of the match, Park Minho, Jeong Byeong Yeol, Michael Menzi and Anto Gonzalez; Team Socceroo FC's Paolo Bediones, Fabio Ide and Daniel Matsunaga; Dexter Versario, Pauluis Reyes and Alvin Ocampo; Philippine Volcanoes member Eric Tai; and celebrities Rafael Rosell and Tony Toni.
Team James is composed of Jolo Durian, Rudy del Rosario, Jonah Romero, Patrick Bocobo, Ref Cuaresma, Anton del Rosario, Nate Burkey, Raymark Fernandez, Andrew Santiago, Ronald Batisla-Ong, Patrick Ozaeta, Marvin Kiefer, Andrew Wolff, Allen Serna, Mikko Mabanag, Eric Dagroh, Nico Bolzico, Steven Silva and Patrick Deyto.
Saba was named as Best Keeper award. Ashime was recognized as Best Defender award. Mabanag, despite his height, won the Best Midfielder award. Diop won the Best Striker award. Match's Most Valuable Player went to Park. Lastly, the People's choice went to Tai.
