It had been previously revealed that James and Phil Younghusband of the Loyola Meralco Sparks will be unavailable for the friendly due to prior commitments. In addition, Neil Etheridge will be observing his one-match suspension as rendered to him by the AFC. The Fulham goalkeeper, however, will be involved as he will join Bob Guerrero and Darren Hartmann in the panel to do commentary for the fixture.
