Pasargad FC continues its run of defeating the top teams after they defeated Stallion Gilligan's FC 1-0 in Saturday's first match of the United Football League at the University of Makati.
The loss gave the Ilonggo based squad their second straight defeat after they were felled by Loyola Meralco Sparks 3-0 a week ago which also saw their first choice goalkeeper Wilson Muñoz sent off.
A solitary goal from Mohammed Ohdadi's volley in the 35th minute gave Pasargad the lead, but Stallion almost pulled one back after a penalty call for them before half-time. However Bervic Italia's spot kick was well denied by Abdollah Golkhah to retain the scoreline in favor of Pasargad.
Pasargad's victory allowed them to move to fifth place past defending champions Philippine Air Force Phoenix with 15 points. While Stallion are still in fourth position with 22 points.
