Loyola Meralco Sparks FC feasted on the goalsocring spree of Phil Younghusband, James Younghusband, Mark Hartmann and Jake Morallo as they defeated the hapless Philippine Navy Redjuice FC with a resounding 14-0 scoreline yesterday evening at the University of Makati.
Coming from a 2-0 win over Kaya FC a fortnight ago, Loyola were keen to leapfrog Stallion FC at the top of the table after the Ilonggo side fell to Global FC 1-0 last Saturday.
A five-goal performance from Phil Younghusband allowed him to overtake Stallion's Lee Joo Young for the goalscoring plum with 9 goals in six matches. James Younghusband and Mark Hartmann both had a hat-trick as well.
Substitutes Jake Morallo and Alex Camara also scored with Morallo grabbing a brace.
Navy ended the match with only nine men as Jose Alfe Caminos was given a straight red card after a foul on Mark Hartmann in the first half, and substitute Loreto Kalalang sent off for two bookable offenses in the second half.
The win gives Loyola Meralco Sparks the lead at the league standings while Navy is still stuck in the bottom of the table.
