2012.06.25 Clear Dream Match Press Conference

National team stalwarts Phil and James Younghusband announced yesterday that they will be holding the Clear Dream Match, a celebrity all-star football match on August 25 at the University of Makati.

This comes similar to Steve Nash's the Showdown in Chinatown in New York where he holds an 8-a-side football game for charity that has become an annual event since 2008.

The Clear Dream Match will see several personalities in the United Football League, the UAAP and the television realm with people like Anton del Rosario, Nate Burkey and Eric Dagroh of Kaya FC, Freddy Gonzales of Pachanga FC, Patrick Deyto of Green Archers United and De La Salle University, Miko Mabanag of the Ateneo de Manila University, and Shilmar Felongco of the University of Santo Tomas to name a few.

Voting for the teams starts on June 25 via www.facebook.com/CLEAR, the top 40 will then be drafted by the Younghusband brothers to their respective teams on August 11. Tickets information will also be in the Clear Facebook page.

This Clear Dream Match will be for the beneficiary of Tuloy sa Don Bosco who has also been known in the football by helping in the Street Child World Cup.

However due to the scheduling of the Clear Dream Match, the Younghusband brothers confirmed that they will not participating in the US training camp scheduled on August. The US training camp will pit the Azkals with friendlies from several sides such as MLS outfit Chicago Fire.
