Ian Araneta has finally set the tempo for the defending champions.
A quick fire double for Araneta in the second half along with substitute Randy Bela-Ong's long range effort gave Philippine Air Force Phoenix it's first back-to-back wins in the league as they Nomads Auction Manila 3-0.
This was the first meeting between last season's champions from both division, and the second time for Air Force without winger Chieffy Caligdong who went down against Philippine Army Fritz and Macziol last month.
Araneta opened the scoring after heading home Peter Jaugan's corner in the 55th minute. It was not long until Araneta scored his second with a free kick from 20-yards out in the 60th minute.
Randy Bela-Ong, who replaced Surgeant Montillano, added a third goal after Nomads goalkeeper Jeff Blake was unable to react on Bela-Ong's 35-yard strike.
The win moves Air Force into fifth place while Nomads dropped to sixth place ahead of Army, who will face struggling Green Archers United today 7:00pm at the University of Makati.
