Here are the results from last week:

Euro 2012 Preparations

The Azzuri have had a rough week, as their friendly against Luxembourg had to be cancelled due to an earthquake that took place near Parma, where the friendly was scheduled to take place. Then, they lost 3-0 against Russia, who earlier had a goalless draw against Lithuania. Otherwise, teams in Euro preparations handled things mostly well,  Netherlands won 2-1 versus Slovakia, Spain thrashed South Korea 4-1. Sweden secured it with a 3-2 win over Iceland, while Greece beat Armenia 1-0. Germany bounced back from their upset defeat against the Swiss with a 2-0 win over Israel, which is also the same score France had against Serbia. Czech Republic was upset by Hungary 2-1, thanks to a 88th minute goal from Adám Gyurcsó. Similarly, Ukraine was upset 3-2 by Austria, as Werder Bremen's Marko Arnautović issued the winning goal on the 89th minute.

Other Friendlies

Neymar was a sensation for Brazil against the United States, scoring a goal and assisting on a couple more in their 4-1 win at FedEx Field. The following day saw Mexico escape with a 2-1 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina at Soldier Field in Chicago, thanks to a clutch goal from Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez. He scored a couple minutes into second half injury time. While Philippines and Malaysia battled into a goalless draw, at the Hong Kong Stadium, the former Crown Colony managed to secure a 1-0 victory over Singapore.

Other matches

Guangzhou Evergrande versus FC Tokyo - Cleo provided the lone goal for the big-spending Chinese club that allows them to make it to the Quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League in Marcelo Lippi's third match in charge for the team.

World Cup Qualifications matches  - A broken floodlight did not hinder Ghana in posting a 7-0 win over Lesotho, while an empty stadium did not prevent Egypt from posting a 2-0 win over Mozambique. In the Oceania zone, goals were the norm, as the Tehau family scored nine goals in Tahiti's 10-1 win over Samoa. Lorenzo scored four goals, three of which came in a three-minute span. His twin brother Alvin scored a couple before being subbed by Teonahui, who scored as well. Elder brother Jonathan also put in a brace. Meanwhile, a hat trick from Bertrand Kai powered New Caledonia to a 5-2 victory over Vanuatu.

Here are this weekend's games that you might just want to keep tabs on:

England versus Belgium - This is their final match to prepare for the Euros. It will be interesting to see the Three Lions play things out at Wembley, now knowing that they had to make last-minute changes to their Euro lineup due to injuries.

Spain versus China - The same applies for the Spaniards in Seville, as the Chinese, led by their Spanish manager Jose Camacho, will provide the reigning World and Euro champions a workout. This match will provide manager Vicente del Bosque to reintegrate the nine Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao players into the team. The two sides were involved in the Copa Del Rey Final.

Brazil versus Mexico - To be held at the cavernous Cowboys stadium in Dallas, both teams coming off good form with wins earlier this week.

Uruguay versus Venezuela - Both teams are currently sharing the leadership in the World Cup Qualifying for CONMEBOL.
