This is a weekly post devoted to following up on all the overseas-based footballers who have played for the Philippines. Like what the title stated, this is a recap of games of a team that has a Filipino in the lineup. And again, for him to be included in the tracking process, either he has to have capped for the Philippines or been named to the lineup as a reserve, or has been locked to or agreed to play for us (as with the case of the likes of Kevin Ingreso). So, if you are looking for David Alaba, Jonathan De Guzman and Alphonse Areola, you will not find him here (and in the case of Areola, not yet, anyway).
If you feel that there is a name missing on the list that you would like me to monitor as well, or even correct me on some things, you may do so by sending me an email to john.paul.manahan@soccercentral.ph or by contacting me on my twitter handle (@misterjpmanahan) for questions. You can also tweet Soccer Central Philippines (@soccercentralph) You may also write them on the comments page below.
Again, do take note they have to qualify to the parameters set above. Major thanks to the people involved with and in Usapang Football for their assistance in detailing the info.
Now onto the players:
Neil Etheridge - Fulham (Barclays Premier League)
Neil was distinctly aware of what had gone on during the rain-soaked week, and decided to assist in the relief effort. Meanwhile, Fulham wound down their preseason preparation with a few more matches. Among them were a 2-1 defeat to Charlton and a 1-0 wn over MK Dons. Neil, however, was left off these matches.
The Cottagers will open their season on August 18 against Norwich City, while the Reserves will kick off theirs on August 27 against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
It is interesting to note that David Stockdale is rumoured to be sent away on loan again, which puts Neil again as the probable back-up to Mark Schwarzer.
Rob Dazo Gier - Ascot United (Hellenic League)
Although the friendly against the United States Virgin Islands did not push through, the defender still managed to fly in to participate in the ongoing camp.
Ascot United kicked off their league campaign in a disappointing note with a 4-1 defeat to Marlow. Rob played in the match, as well as their 6-1 FA Cup victory over Sandhurst Town, before he made his way to Chicago. As a result, he missed their scoreless draw against the Oxford City Nomads.
Up next is their league match against Abingdon Town on August 18 and Highmoor Ibis on the 21st.

Both matches did not feature Kevin, but the last friendly, a 5-3 victory over German Oberliga side Altona 93, featured Kevin making an appearance in the 72' as a substitute.

Dennis Cagara - Karlsruher SC (3. Bundesliga)
Karlsruher SC still remains winless in the division, as they managed 1-1 draw against Osnabrück and a 1-0 defeat to Bielefeld. The lone point moves them down to a tie for 18th place. Dennis was not listed in the lineup for both matches.

Mike is currently an U-17 selection with TSV 1860 München in the U-17 Bundesliga, while his twin Marco plays for S.C. E. Friesing in the U-17 Bayernliga. Jacques Van Bossche - Koninklijke Standaard Wetteren (Division III)
Standaard Wetteren's season kicked off on the right foot, with a 5-2 victory over KV Turnhout. That can't be said for their Cup campaign, as they exit in the first round via a 3-2 penalty shootout loss to R.FC.Tilleur St.-Gilles.
No details on whether JvB played against Turnhout, but he was scratched out of the lineup against Tilleur St. Gilles due to illness. He had gotten some action in the different club friendlies, although the most action he had played was one half.
